the Stardust Heathen

Another project from last term's printmaking course. This is a hard ground etching. I'd never done an etching before, only drypoint. It was a nice change, though -- the hard ground made it sooo much easier to scratch my design onto the copper plate! It didn't aggrivate my tendonitis too much, either.

The subject, of course, is the lovely alien himself, Mr. David Bowie.
I worked heavily from a photograph, then added some of my own elements....
